Login.gov will officially begin offering facial recognition technology to its partners. And, the White House issued the final version of the Trust Regulation.

Following a facial recognition pilot with the single sign-on platform, the GSA announced that the verification tech is now generally available.

A Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration offered six recommendations to the tax agency to improve its security protocols around its use of the single sign-on service.

The GSA pilot will start in May and follows a previous Login.gov initiative to use an evidence-based identity verification system.

The move comes as the agency conducts an equity study on remote identity proofing.

The agency's work on Login.gov and beta tests for Notify.gov and SNAP benefits are examples of centering people, GSA Deputy Administrator Katy Kale said.
