National Reconnaissance Office Chief Information Officer Jill Singer was recently honored with the Global CIO Community’s 2012 Breakaway Leaders Award.
Singer was one of 10 CIOs from industry and government to receive an award at the Global CIO Executive Summit held in Aspen, Colo.
The Top 10 Breakaway Leaders Awards recognize high-performing CIOs who are revolutionizing their organization’s competitive position in the evolving economy through visionary leadership and business transformation. The winners are determined by combined input of an independent panel of judges and a peer-based voting process.
“Jill is not only an integral member of our leadership team, but more importantly, she has been the champion of our effort to transform our Information Technology enterprise,” said Director of the National Reconnaissance Office Betty Sapp. “Jill’s passion and dedication to improving our IT enterprise have been key to the significant advances that have been made at the NRO. She has used her understanding of our mission and her experience in the IT community to help the NRO see and achieve improvements that others didn’t think possible.”
