The talk around government Wednesday was about Richard Cordray, the former Attorney General of Ohio who President Obama named Director of the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau using a recess appointment. Obama initially said in July he would appoint Cordray in the future, but thanks to delays in the Senate, the President opted for the rarely used method. Of course, Cordray is not fully in the clear.
