The Justice Department’s Office of Justice Programs is looking for a new chief information officer, according to a job posting on USAJobs.gov.
According to DOJ sources, Office of Justice Programs CIO Walter Iwanow is retiring.
It is unclear if Inanow is still with the office or has left completely. The Office of Justice Programs still lists Iwanow as CIO on its website, and calls to the office confirmed Iwanow was still an employee.
However, Iwanow’s LinkedIn page has a message posted where a job title is normally displayed, reading:
“I am quiting (sic) Government to persue (sic) other options. Maybe consult. Life is good and tennis and golf is inviting.”
Iwanow lists himself on the profile as living in the West Palm Beach, Florida area, despite the Office of Justice Programs being located in Washington, D.C. Iwanow could not be reached for comment.
The job pays between $120,749.00 to $181,500.00 annually, according to the job posting. The open period for applications ends on Aug. 18.
