Bobbie Stempfley to depart DHS
A spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security confirmed Friday that Bobbie Stempfley, the agency's deputy assistant secretary for cybersecurity and communications, is leaving government for a position in the private sector.
A spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security confirmed Friday that Bobbie Stempfley, the agency’s deputy assistant secretary for cybersecurity and communications, is leaving government for a position in the private sector.
The DHS spokesman said Stempfley’s last day at the agency will be Feb. 13. She’ll be taking a position with the Mitre Corp.
Stempfley joined DHS in 2010 as director of the National Cyber Security Division. She was a 2014 FedScoop 50 award recipient for Cybersecurity Leader of the Year.
Stempfley’s departure was first reported by Federal News Radio.
