U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Chief Information Officer Rick Holgate discussed the agency’s upcoming multi-agency vehicle for technology services acquisitions, cloud-based email migration and legacy technology upgrades with FedScoopTV.
“It will be an early embodiment of the federal CIO’s ‘Shared First’ strategy of the notion of acquiring a set of services and opening up that set of services to participants across the federal government. So, that’s a vehicle and relationship we’ll have in place in the next couple of months and a really exciting opportunity for us to share some of the capabilities that we’ve had in place at ATF, but also to realize some economies of scale and some greater collaboration across federal agencies,” Holgate said of the acquisition vehicle.
