As the federal government moves more of its data to the cloud, the conversation has transitioned from rationalizing cloud adoption to the numerous risks associated with the migration. Cloud security remains a concern for many agencies, and became the focal point at this week’s Amazon Web Services Public Sector Summit.

Patrick Gallagher, NIST director and undersecretary at the Commerce Department, took the opportunity during his keynote at the event to address security issues being handled by NIST.
