Michael serves as CIO, a role that carries the additional title of Deputy Assistant Secretary for Information Technology (DASIT). He returned to HHS after serving seven years as CIO of the General Services Administration (GSA). In his earlier days at HHS, he served as Deputy Director of the Office of Information Resources Management and CIO for the Office of the Secretary.
