The General Services Administration Office of Citizen Services and Innovative Technologies released the FedRAMP concept of operations document on Tuesday that describes all the services that will be available at the program’s initial operating capability targeted for June 2012.
The CONOPs guide is intended for cloud service providers, third party assessment organizations, government employees and contractors working on FedRAMP projects, plus any outside organizations that want to understand the FedRAMP assessment process.
The documents intend to create a “do once, use many times” framework that will save cost, time and staff required to conduct redundant agency security assessments, according to GSA.
